December 14, at the event CIO Awards at Berns, Open District Heating was one of the finalists at the award “Sustainable Project 2015”. The prestigious first prize, which is annually awarded by the CIO Sweden and Accenture was this year awarded ICA and Uppsalahem. But the starting group was strong and all of the five finalists could see themselves as winners. Strong>
Each year, CIO Sweden together with Accenture, award a prize in each category Sustainable Project of the Year, Project of the Year and CIO of the Year(Chief Information Officer). Open District Heating was this year one of the five nominees in the category Sustainable Project in the competition with five other prominent companies. Yesterday it was announced that the winner of the prestigious prize was ICA and Uppsalahem. Compere of the event, Bella Goldman and CIO Sweden’s Editor in Chief Alexandra Heymowska could not overstate the challenge to pick this year’s finalists in the perhaps strongest line-up ever. During the months of preparation and a rigorous selection process, initially a hundred companies have taken further. After in-depth interviews and further investigation was then twenty companies left. Twenty companies were ten and, after around a thousand hours of work to the jury, it was clear what candidates who best earned a finals place.
The prize for CIO of the Year went to Mats Hultin at SAAB. Project of the Year was won by Riges and strong emotions were shown when Shifo Child System received the bonus prize for “Digital Inspire of the Year.
